I would include this book in my reading center because children love non-fiction books with real images of animals! Very factual book!

This book is a great resource for learning about snakes. The authors choice of media used in this book is great because it uses real photos to get a real inside look about all there is to know about snakes! This book is well rounded in covering a lot of information on this animal.

I would have 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders read this because it is a very educational book. Some kids may get bored reading this book because its a lot more facts than of a story. It is still a great book for kids to be educated on.

This nonfiction book is goos because it is up to date with accuracy and includes a significant number of facts to be presented to the reader. The pictures are also appealing and makes you want to learn more. Not much of a storyline though and content is there just maybe not in the most intriguing way!

This book has very good pictures too look at and examine. Students will find interest in this animal and enjoy the content it gives. the perspective tells you facts rather than creating a story but it still informative and appealing to lots of people!

I really enjoyed this book. It is a nonfiction book that was published in 2012. The whole book focuses around different snakes, how they hid from predators, how/what they eat, where they live, what they look like, etc.
Aside from this, I think that it is a very informative read. It keeps the reader engaged with all the facts and pictures that are written and shown on each page. The pictures are real photographs taken which makes it even better.

em_lemo One fact that I found very interesting in this book was,
“Venomous snakes have the best defense, but they prefer not to use it.“
This was a surprise to me. Snakes are portrayed as being terrifying creatures who do not show kindness or compassion, and I like that this book gives them a different narrative and background.
