This biography book is very good because its facts and events have been well documented and it was obviously carefully researched before. It takes an objective stance and recognizes various points of things going on around that time, yet still works to show justice of the life in Claudette Colvin. The narrative is also fast moving, making it easier to comprehend and feel connected to for the readers.

blurb
mack2799

I think this book would be very enjoyable for kids in a classroom. It accurately depicts the true history of what happened long ago. It also shows an important part of history that all kids seem to be interested in. I believe it is good to introduce reads like this, that tell the whole truth of what happened and keep kids engaged with their history!

I think any kid in early childhood classrooms would enjoy this book. It would be a good book to integrate science and literature. Kids would be able to find it fascinating and enjoyable with its fun, entertaining context it provides. I believe kids could learn a lot from it and find it exciting!

This biography book is good because it is told through illustrations that help distinguish the theme and story. The facts and background are accurately depicted and although it seems like a fiction book, everything is completely real. I think the facts and events have been researched well and various subject points were discussed and shown throughout as well!

This book would be great to have in any classroom. It is a fast moving narrative that would be relatable for all students. They will be able to learn and understand a different time in history and realize anything in life they want to achieve is possible with a little hard work!

This biography book is a good book because it has many facts and events documented throughout it. I believe it is exciting because it really happened, yet still told in a good and interesting way. The illustrations help make the theme believable and it recognizes various points in Lily's life. It however, is quite short and might not be telling a full story like we would've expected to see from the title and beginning.

blurb
mack2799

This book is fascinating to me and I'm sure older early childhood classrooms could love a book like this. They might of been freshly introduced to the Holocaust or they might just really enjoy good comic/picture books. This book would be fairly easy to read and the illustrations allow them to follow along and not get confused or lost inside the story!

Although I find this Biography book interesting, I am not sure it is best for an early childhood education classroom. I believe it is authentic in its writing and I think Jack Gantos really explored the true depth of his life through his writing, making it feel real to the reader. It is far complex and everything about it is very true to life. It is simply just not something accurate for kids I will teach.

Hole in My Life | Jack Gantos

This book would have to be for older kids, probably even in advanced levels. I think the message of how you can turn your life back from something good to something you've always wanted is important and valuable. I also think its far too out of reach for some kids to comprehend at a young age and it might contain aspects that make them uncomfortable.

Pickpick

This biography book is good because it was authentic to its actual story line and what actually happened. Although they made it interesting and enjoyable, the main and most fascinating facts were still included. I believe that all aspects, both good and bad, were depicted and that the approach was fair to everyone and possibly anyone involved through both sides of the context!

blurb
mack2799

Definitely a book for older kids but i think this might be good if history is an interest of theirs. It can also be semi relatable. Seeing Hitler turn from a young innocent man into someone so destructive due to bad circumstances can be eye-opening to a child. I think its good to see a world unlike our own as well and try to understand the basis of other countries.

Pickpick

This biography book is good because lots of contexts in Van Gogh's life were integrated into this story. It not only talked about his great successes, but also brought forth the idea of his shortcomings. I also believe it was a good fast-paced narrative that wasn't too over-simplified to where it was to broad.

This book would be perfect to older children wanting to learn about art and the culture around it. Vincent Van Gogh is known to be an incredible artist and this book elaborates on his life in a fascinating way appropriate for the younger ages!

This biography book is good because it contains a fast moving narrative to keep readers intrigued, but yet still withholds many of the important and vast details of the character's life. I think it is accurate and authentic, using many careful resources to conduct the reading, and it also has a lot background information to understand what is going on throughout the story!

This nonfiction book is good because it contains a lot of coverage with a wide arrange of different buildings and people beyond them being covered and its level of difficulty isn't too hard where its no longer enjoyable for kids. However, its primary importance isnt the highest and is meant to be more of a fun read rather than something to really learn and get a take-away with!

This nonfiction book is good in the fact that its facts are accurate and generalized based on them. Its purpose its told through story telling, making it more interesting to kids. This book does have some difficulty and should be intended for an older audience but has lots of pictures to describe/clarify what might be going on through the text!

This nonfiction book would be a very good read and is accurate in its information. Its purpose is also good and is an important aspect of history we shouldn't forget. However, the level of difficulty is fairly high for kids in fifth grade or below and I'm not sure this would be the best book to describe the tragedy!

blurb
mack2799

I think this book is interesting and appealing with the pictures and information but would be hard for kids to read at a low age level! Good introductory book for kids in higher classes though! I know I would still find this enjoyable and interesting!
