#DeweyOct #readathon #ReadathonHourlyPhoto #hour4 #Spooky The spookiest place I‘ve ever been is definitely the Quarantine Station on North Head in Sydney Harbour. My two eldest & I went on a Lamplight Ghost Tour about 10yrs ago & I not only felt, heard & saw a ghost, I took its picture. So many people have died there over it‘s 160yr history, the atmosphere is so heavy especially in the hospital ward & the shower block.

ljuliel Do you have the picture of the ghost ? I believe in them myself. 5y
Lizpixie @ljuliel no unfortunately! It was taken on an old phone over 10yrs ago and I lost all my photos trying to move them from phone to phone. In it it was all black except for a white outline of a person, there was definitely no one behind me at the time, I was the last of the group to enter the verandah. Freaked me out! 5y
ljuliel That is so cool ! It looks like a neat place to visit. 5y
Lizpixie It‘s actually a hotel now, though I don‘t think you could pay me enough to sleep there! Maybe sit there all night waiting for something to grab me, but there‘d definitely be no sleeping👻 5y

#ChillingPhotoChallenge #day8 #Ghostly There‘s been a few books written about the ghosts of the Q Station at the mouth of Sydney Harbour. I have 1st Hand experience of them, I took the ghost tour with my 2 eldest a few years ago & it scared the hell out of me. I heard, felt & saw things I can‘t explain, including a figure on the same verandah as in the B&W pic above. I highly recommend a visit. #Scareathlon #TeamSlaughter 2points #PointsTotal-132

Lizpixie And it‘s now been turned into a hotel! I‘m not sure you could pay me enough to stay there overnight😱 5y

Lizpixie @ferskner it was about 10yrs ago now I think. Myself, my eldest daughter & son went on a lantern light tour of the Station. It was a smallish group & I was the last person crossing the yard in front of the hospital building which is one of those old buildings with a wraparound verandah & one story in front & two at back. I started hearing footsteps behind me & assumed there was a Parks employee joining us but I turned around & there was noone👇👇 5y
Lizpixie Thought I was hearing things so kept going, soon as I turned back, the footsteps started again, louder like boots then there was a swishing noise like a great coat makes when you walk fast. I bolted to catch up with the group & as I turned the corner of the verandah I spun around & took a picture with my phone. When we looked at it later it was all black except for a white outline right in the middle. And that wasn‘t the only thing that happened👇 5y
kamoorephoto SCARY and yet so cool. I twice worked on movies in previous psychiatric hospitals and holy crapazoid, I can not explain how CHILLING it felt to be on the property filming...especially when we made patient rooms look ‘lived in‘ again. I didn‘t want to be in the bathrooms alone either; it just felt like there was a presence. It was so eerie, and I‘m not usually scared very easily, honestly...!!! 😱 5y
Lizpixie It‘s built on a steep hill down to the water & when the tour finished at the shower blocks near the dock, my knees were so sore I couldn‘t make it back up so they told us to wait at the bend above the showers(which have the most awful atmosphere),till she could come back with the Ute. As we waited, on our own, at midnight, I swear I could feel eyes watching us, the kids could feel it too. By the time she got back we were in a huddle under 👇👇 5y
Lizpixie the streetlight. It felt like we were being surrounded by things that did not want us there. I don‘t know how people can sleep there, I‘d try if you paid me enough, but there‘d be no sleeping I can guarantee that!👻 5y
kamoorephoto @Lizpixie I‘d go with you!!! 5y
ferskner OH. MY. GOSH. That is AMAZING!!!!! I'm not a fan of "I saw orb" ghost stories but yours is legit! 5y
