A practical guide on the topic of sexism at the level of microaggression, where the author offers advices on how to act and lead the conversation when we find ourselves in such a situation, which I find rather idealistic and even naive. What did I learn? That I'm a benevolent sexist. #audiowalks

Audiobook is Scribd original and it isn‘t the Litsy library.

This book was very well researched. There were a lot of interesting tidbits about how different things such as social media have effected our ability to communicate with one another. But on the whole, I felt like this book could have just been a long blog post. In book format, the author did what she encourages others not to do in conversation; she didn't keep it short.

Three super pretty books from the #library! Can't wait to forget about these babies and then hastily renew them three weeks from now!

//⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️// Within the pages I found many good and practical pointers to improve conversation for both speaking and listening. The author‘s writing style appealed, and her voice throughout made the information presented very accesible. I came away from the book with many quotes and ideas to apply to my daily life. I now have a clearer idea on what to keep in mind, where I can improve, and which steps to take over time.

Thought provoking and helpful book. It encourages self-reflection on your own communication skills while also discussing how vital it is to improve them in this current political climate.

mrozzz How interesting! 7y
mrozzz And agreed re: our the political climate. 7y
CoffeeK8 @mrozzz totally! The author also suggests that no one communicates as well as they think they do and asks you to reflect on when you might have done better. It‘s humbling in some ways 7y
mrozzz Cool!! I think I'll have to get this. Maybe on audio. 7y
CoffeeK8 @mrozzz you should, I haven‘t listened, but it‘s narrated by the author who is also a radio host so it must be really great 7y

Woolgathering is one of my favorite words (and something I do often) An entire chapter dedicated to it is awesome! 🐑

NovelGirl82 I do that, as well. Good to know there's a word for it! 7y
