I‘ve long loved Julia‘s House for Lost Creatures, but I forgot to keep up with Hatke. I have been missing out! In addition to two more Julia books, there‘s this gem. Poor Goblin goes on a quest to get back his Very Best Friend Skeleton, who was stolen by a band of adventurers. Adorable illustrations + a sweet storyline = another one I need to own.

Goblin, a cheerful little homebody, lives in a cosy, rat-infested dungeon, with his only friend, Skeleton. Every day, Goblin and Skeleton play with the treasure in their dungeon. But one day, a gang of "heroic" adventurers bursts in. These marauders trash the place, steal all the treasure, and make off with Skeleton—leaving Goblin all alone!

I should have known by the author that I would love this book the illustrations are grand and lovely. Goblin is just looking for his friend skeleton, but everyone keeps chasing him off. Until goblin makes some new friends who are a big help.
