so-soThere were some very good things, but overall this was just pretty good. Multiple MCs, all three of whom have their own storylines including some flashbacks for two and an entire past story for the primary (told in present tense, naturally), makes it a challenge to follow. My main issues are that the whole conflict arises from NOT TALKING TO EACH OTHER, and caused major grief for lots of people; and that there‘s no real resolution. It just ends.

pick#May and I have just finished our #firstbook of 2018. I love reading about life under Stalin and this story of a Russian ballerina who defected to the US does not disappoint. I wanted it to be a smidge longer.
I bought this book months ago at a library book sale on a whim, having never heard of the title or author, because I liked the cover art. I'm about a quarter of the way through it and apparently my book buying instincts are good, because I'm loving it 😊
