I‘m in Florence, Italy and after an amazing dinner of gnocchi with pears and Gorgonzola we were randomly wandering the neighborhood and came across this church: Santa Maria del Fiore. If you‘re interested, screen shot and zoom in- the detail is absolutely stunning. The statues are beautiful.

Hooked_on_books Those are the best—the little finds when you‘re just wandering. I love that! The best gelato I had in Italy was in Florence, amazingly from a gelateria right on the main square near the Palazzo Vecchio. It was a number of years ago, so I have no idea if it‘s still there. Sounds like you‘re having a great time! 10mo
Soubhiville @Hooked_on_books we got gelato today from a shop right there on the Palazzo, and it was so good! They had plum, which is Maelstrom‘s fave fruit, and he loved it. I got coffee, delicious! Maybe the same place as you, and yes, the best. 10mo
