Led Astray: The Best of Kelley Armstrong
Led Astray: The Best of Kelley Armstrong | Kelley Armstrong
11 posts | 5 read | 10 to read
Welcome to the many worlds of #1 "New York Times" bestselling author Kelley Armstrong (Otherworld, Cainsville). As her "SyFy" channel series, "Bitten," enters its second season, Armstrong continues to breathe new life into city-dwelling vampires, werewolves, and zombies. Now travel even further with her, to a post-apocalyptic fortress, a superstitious village, a supernatural brothel, and even feudal Japan. In "Led Astray," you ll discover the stories of new characters from within and outside Armstrong s popular novels. Here you will find two original tales from Cainsville, plus journeys to and beyond the worlds of Darkest Powers, Age of Legends, Otherworld, and more. Bold and humorous, passionate and heart-stopping, here is Kelley Armstrong at her versatile best."

Pickpick

Led Astray is a collection of the best short stories written by Kelley Armstrong. Most of these have previously been published in anthologies, and one is an original short for this book.

The stories revisit the worlds of some of our favourite Kelly Armstrong series alongside new worlds and supernaturals. This was a wonderful collection that I really enjoyed reading. I would definitely recommend this to any fan of Kelley Armstrong's writing style!

Bookworm54 @RealLifeReading yay! I hope you love it as much as I did! :) 8y
RealLifeReading I was just thinking that I've not read her short stories before. I've only read her Women of the Otherworld series! 8y
Bookworm54 @RealLifeReading a couple of these are set in that world, some in cainsville, and some are just stand alone. I found all of them easy to get into though. 8y

BRANDED

I'm not sure how this fits into the darkest powers/darkness rising universe. It must be very very far into the future and is an interesting twist on the world Kelley created!

Braeden had broken the first rule of the fortress, having supernatural blood. The fortress protects insiders from the supernaturals, hybrids, and outcasts that roam the wastelands of the outside world. Anyone with supernatural blood is executed or cast out... 🔮

#somethingforsept #septemberphotochallenge #day3

A day late for this one. Taking a break from making a presentation, to read a short story or two while eating lunch! Lunch today is red pesto pasta with cherry tomatoes and feta cheese 😍😌

A HAUNTED HOUSE OF HER OWN

This story is a little creepy... But this sentence made me laugh. I might have to put my imagination into a time out too! 😅

MrBook Nice pick 😊👍🏻👌🏻! 8y
Bookworm54 @MrBook thanks ☺️ If only this worked! Next time I read a horror I may need to utilise putting the book in the freezer as well as imagination time out... That and lights on! 😳 8y

"Reliance on Fate is the refuge of the weak. The strong know that free will is all. What I want, I must take."

A very interesting supernatural type I have not heard of before!

So I'm finally starting book number 2 for the #24in48 readathon!
I have chosen an anthology so that I can feel like I have been more productive than I probably am 😋
It is quite a collection spanning several of her series, but it starts with women of the otherworld short stories, which is the series I began my Kelley Armstrong journey with :)

So I'm contemplating how I will do the @24in48 readathon this weekend. It is so hard to choose what to read!
So far I have settled on carrying on with the drafter, and starting led astray since it's an anthology... Plus there is the @Litsybookclub discussion of the girls look forward to! 😊
But unfortunately first I need some sleep 😴
