My brother decided to homeschool his kids this year, in the hopes of giving them a little stability with the pandemic. Then he realized it isn‘t that easy. So I‘ve been helping out with their English curriculum. And as a treat we read a little about eating fried worms everyday. I do love being able to see them all the time. Even if it‘s just through my computer.

I‘ll bet you fifty dollars you can‘t eat fifteen worms. I really will.

I will never forget elementary school when this book was all the rage! Some book titles are just too interesting to forget.

Let‘s be honest, the title is enough to draw in even the most reluctant readers! This is the typical school story with a bit of a twist. Kids would enjoy the story knowing that they‘ll (hopefully) never have this happen to them.

#UCFWalterslit 'How to Eat Fried Worms' by Thomas Rockwell is a realistic fiction novel about a group of boys who challenge each other to eat 1 worm a day for 15 days to win $50. This is an easy read and it didn't really interest me, but I know this could really grab students that might not like to read. Insects and worms and spiders are all #creepycrawlies to me. I've actually never read this book, though I remember it was popular when I was a kid. #hallowreads
