The 2nd book in the Gaslight Mystery series (#SeriesLove2024). This time Sarah gets involved in the world of the “Charity Girls”, trying to help a client determine who murdered her sister. The mystery was good, but what is wonderful about these novels is the evolution of Sarah and Frank‘s relationship. I look forward to the next in the series.

Someone is murdering young girls, but no one really cares because they are girls with “bad reputations.” Sarah gets angry about the injustice and sets out to solve the murders. The story was interesting but I knew who the murderer was VERY early. Sarah and Frank, though, not the stories, are the reasons to keep reading this series. Picked up Ordinary Grace again. #audiowalk

I put aside Ordinary Grace for a bit because this book is only available on Audible Plus until 9/12. I like Sarah, but she is naive. And Frank! He‘s so resistant to any kind of help from anyone for anything! He just makes everything harder on himself. I think I know the murderer all ready, but I could be wrong. #audiowalk

March #BookSpinBingo I don‘t anticipate having much reading time but I definitely want to read The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane to finish #Booked2022 and my two #Bookspins, and my #LMPBC The Silence of Girls.

BkClubCare Very pretty layout for March🍀 2y

Chrissyreadit @wanderinglynn this weather has everything hurting and exhausted- I fell asleep from 3 ish to 8pm then was up until about 1. My body feels like it was hit by a truck #arthritisstinks I wish my joints would stay in their sockets too. 2y
Chrissyreadit @tpixie there are about 18 books in this series now- I‘m glad I found it. When it‘s hard to focus from pain and I need to study, these are fast easy reads I can put down and pick up. 2y
Chrissyreadit @RaeLovesToRead I agree! The cover of this book is great- and very atmospheric of the storyline too. 2y
wanderinglynn Oh no! I‘m so sorry. I hope the weather clears & you are pain-free soon 💚 2y
tpixie @Chrissyreadit certain weather is horrible for the joints!! I‘m so sorry you are suffering now. My father-in-law would tell you to drink Knox gelatin ( which is derived from collagen) and take omega-3 fatty acid! 2y
Chrissyreadit @tpixie I do take a plant based Omega3, and have to go back to turmeric- sometimes I forget to take stuff….. 😘😘😘 2y
tpixie @Chrissyreadit I always keep meaning to take turmeric and keep forgetting!! Do you know how much you‘re supposed to take? 2y
Chrissyreadit @tpixie I take the Jarrow formula of curcumin 95 on Amazon and take 2-4 a day, but have taken as many as 6 a day- and felt more relief than pain medicine (I was prescribed methotrexate 5-6 years ago and was horribly sick from it- turmeric was much better) I literally forget to take it when I‘m feeling better. I also like turmeric tea- which will be today‘s beverage of choice. 2y
tpixie @Chrissyreadit thanks! Pain is terrible 😞 (edited) 2y
Chrissyreadit @tpixie I hope it helps you😘 2y

Second in a series. Been a long time since I‘ve read mysteries as I‘d read so many and many are so formulaic they weren‘t fun anymore. This series is too. But there was a bit of a twist. I very much enjoy the NYC setting. I plan to continue on with the series.

Andrew65 This is an enjoyable series. 5y

After work #audiocommute. Part 4 of 7. Screenshot of the point I think I‘ve figured out whodunnit. Time will tell. 😆

Crazeedi Have you read the others? The author is from Greensburg PA, not that far from me. It's a good series! 5y
megnews @Crazeedi I read the first one on Astor place. I love finding local authors! 5y
SaturnDoo I'm reading this series too ☺❤ 5y

So who‘s the idiot? 😳😔 Okay That would be me. I downloaded the first two books in the Gaslight Mystery series and somehow started listening to the second one first! Didn‘t realise till halfway through! But that aside this was an excellent book, loved the characters and the interaction between them. Also loved the very feel of the books and when finishing this moved straight onto book 1. Well you would wouldn‘t you! Off to hang my head in shame.

Leftcoastzen I started this series years ago and need to get back to it.Think I‘m at book 5 or 6.l love that old New York . 5y
Tamra 😄 I‘ve done that too. 5y
tdrosebud I did that initially. I came across #7, thought it sounded good, read it and loved it, and then discovered it was part of as series. I was happy because it meant there were more, but angry that I had read out of order. 5y

Suet624 I think if an author is writing a series it should be marked very clearly which number this book is in the series. 5y
Andrew65 @Suet624 I couldn‘t agree more. I was looking at one book in the library today and couldn‘t work out where it came in the series. Why not put numbers on Them! 5y
Andrew65 @Tamra So easy to do. 👍 5y
Andrew65 @tdrosebud I‘ve also done this before. 5y
