This is what I love about doing challenges!
I do both an Author & Title A-Z every year, to enhance my MtTBR & shake up my reading. When I DNF‘ed my U author pick with over half a year to go still, I decided to find another choice, even though it wouldn‘t qualify for MtTBR.
Well, what I found was a new author I can‘t wait to dig into deeper š�°. This book checked all my boxes - can‘t believe I haven‘t come across her sooner.
Read this book!!!

My favorite paper freak, Chico, and I are having a quiet day at home. I've been sorting through books prepping to maybe get rid of some (especially work-related ones), and sorting paper piles, half-watching cheesy Hallmark movies and drinking too much coffee. Fingers crossed I can tear myself away and get some reading done later on. š¤˛š¸¼

erinreads Aw, Chico! š» My cat found a balled up receipt at 3 this morning on my nightstand and took it to his lair (under the bed), so I had to make husband get out of bed to lure him out because receipts are loud when they're cat toys... especially at 3 in the morning! š¹ 7y

AlaMich @Lcsmcat That's so weird that you say that, because our tuxedo kitty Luna used to love to shred paper with her teeth. She didn't eat it, she just tore it up. I had never heard of that being a thing with b/w cats! (edited) 7y

LauraBrook @AlaMich Same here! His sister, who was more of a tuxedo than Chico is, mostly liked to "surf" around the floor on paper. Or the slick cardboard strips you pull off of a new box of Kleenex, those were her fave. Chico love licking and tearing paper, same as yours, no eating! I love cats, they're so funny and quirky! 7y

AlaMich @LauraBrook Luna always had a "shredding corner" or "shredding closet." We joked that she would go there when she was stressed to work off her anxiety. Which was funny, because Luna was probably the most chill, UNanxious cat you would ever meet. ā¯„ļø¸? 7y
