This book is incredibly well researched and written. I commend the amount of time and energy Annie has put into this book. The length alone is a huge feat, but to collect the amount of documentation, the time interviewing people, and the effort to compose this book is unimaginable. Honestly, I was primarily hoping to learn about the Roswell incident and the truth of J-Rod. I ended up learning SO MUCH MORE!

Obviously I was expecting something more like the X-Files, but instead it was a very absorbing and detailed account of the US black ops programs from WWII until the present (2011 when the book was published). Except for some speculations at the end of the book, there was no talk of UFOs and little green men. 4 💥💥💥💥 out of 5.

5 1/2 hrs out of 13 are now done. It's time for sleep, but I'll start again fresh tomorrow. I now know more about Area 51 than I ever thought possible.

Going by the title, I expected a tinfoil hat situation, but it turned out to be an insightful read into the world of black ops and nuclear testing.
A very excellent read. Extremely thorough in its research and exploring the mystery behind Area 51. Don't read this expecting to read about aliens or conspiracy theories.
Here's some color on World UFO Day! Today is the day of the Roswell "crash," and even thought I'm a skeptic, classic alien stories and sci-fi made a major impression on me as a teenager (thanks, X-Files!). I have such a soft spot for them. (How did I forget Contact?!)
