Tells the story of a hungry fox who meets a plump goose and, ooh , what an innocent looking goose she is. The fox can't believe his luck so he asks the goose to go for a stroll. The goose, with her angelic face, cannot refuse. Suddenly, a little chick pops up warning the protagonist: That is NOT a good idea All too late.

This F book is a great DR for the classroom. A student can play the wolf, another the goose, and the rest of the class can be the chicks. The students would have fun yelling out, " that is not a good idea!". This story about a wolf trying convince a goose to come over and he plots to eat him has a very surprising ending that students would love. More on the author at http://www.mowillems.com/.

KatiaP The UDL standard 3.1 and 3.2 activating background knowledge and highlighting patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships. This story can be similar to the 3 little pigs so talk about the patterns of the wolf trying to eat the goose and how the chicks don't want him to. The ESOL standard I would use is 15 reinforce key ideas you present again and again. Talk about the wolf and what he is trying to do over and over. #UCFLAE3414SP20 4y

What a fun and sneaky read! -With a little plot twist at the end, students will love this book. It shares a funny story between fowl and fox and their small journey to the fox‘s house! As you can see there are some more fun characters, the little chickens are yelling out “That is NOT a Good Idea”—- you will have to find out why! This book can be shared in the classroom with S, RT, SR, CR, DR strategies.

AshleyC This book would be a fun read for the class, along with this fun activity provided by http://btbstorytimes.blogspot.com/2013/10/mo-willems-has-yet-another-good-idea.h... it is an interactive Puppet Show. Can certainly be planned and delivered by the students with minimal guidance(allows for a more creative scene I would say!) 6y
AshleyC For the whole class to participate appropriately and actively, some UDL and EL strategies would be affective. One UDL strategy would be 8.3- foster collaboration and community. An EL strategy would be 2- promote cooperation (small groups) 6y
WendyV My kids LOVE this book, the twist at the end is so funny. I really love Mo Willems books! 6y

My #bookoutlethaul arrived today! I‘m putting myself on a monthly book budget for 2018, so Book Outlet‘s Boxing Day Sale was a bit of a last hurrah, so to speak. $45 off $100 on top of bargain prices was just to good a deal to pass up 🙊📚 I purposely chose books that lined up with my reading plans for the new year — inspirational, poetry, short stories, parenting — so I have PLENTY to read in 2018! 📚📚📚

P.S. Those LeGuin collections are HUGE!

TommieMarie74 I‘m excited to hear what you think@of the Pope Francis book. It‘s been on my wishlist for a while now. 6y
