Amazing good news story, I wonder where they‘ve been. Just watched it on the news this morning and the librarian was holding back her tears 😁

Texreader Wow!!! 2y

TrishB @squirrelbrain they say they‘ve got some on the entrances, but unless they‘re actually carrying the pink gift bag how are they going to tell. I‘d love to know where they‘ve been and who just got up and said I‘m taking them back today! (edited) 2y

Pickpick

Spending the next two months on Darwin and his profound influence on modern intellectual thought. Learning a lot already and I have even greater respect. Though I have to both grimace and chuckle at some of his speculations and characterizations. Man of his times in some ways and light years ahead in others. I am surprised at passages of inspired & lyrical writing - you can tell he loved his subject.

Getting little else read.

Tamra That fern on the balcony was an outdoor plant last summer and it‘s done remarkably well inside over the winter. I put it out to bask in some direct sun, though it‘s probably a shock because it isn‘t particularly warm. 😬 4y
GingerAntics I have Darwin on my reading bucket list (and now on my Dr. Quinn reading list). Glad to see someone else reading it and pleasantly surprised to hear his writing is quite pleasant to read. I feared it might be very dry and scientific. 4y
Tamra @GingerAntics there are some really detailed passages that can get a bit tedious, but otherwise eminently readable! 4y
GingerAntics Oh that makes me feel good. I have heard that he was widely read by many types of people in his own time. So that makes sense. 4y
