Even though I never want to live there again, there is a sense in which Adelaide will always be home

Cathythoughts Yes I think our first real home , where ever & when ever that is .. goes very deep. ♥️👍🏻 5y
Mdargusch I love the cover though. Sounds like a good southern narrative. 5y

CarolynM @Mdargusch It's actually one of a series of books about the Australian capital cities, all by different authors. They each have some history, geography and cultural discussion and try to capture something of the character of the city. The cover photo is very recognisable to anyone who knows Adelaide. Lizpixie I‘ve had the Sydney one on my Booktopia wishlist for awhile. There‘s also ones about the Bridge & the Opera House too. On another note, I‘ll be visiting Adelaide next January(fingers crossed my health improves)The hubby has a lot of family there including his Nan & it‘s her 90th birthday so we‘ll be going for a fortnight🤞 5y
Mdargusch Ha! I really misread that blurb. I guess I saw peaches and deduced it was about the south. 😜 5y
CarolynM @Mdargusch I've just read the blurb - I'm not surprised you were misled! I think you would need to know about Adelaide to make sense of it! 🙂 5y
CarolynM @Lizpixie I've got the Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra ones as well. I think you need to be properly familiar with the city to get the most out of the books. I hope you'll be feeling a lot better by January and you enjoy some time in Adelaide. At least the beaches are nice when it's hot. 5y
Reviewsbylola This one sounds really good. 5y
