I was on spring break from work this past week so I was able to accomplish more reading than usual. Finished Postscript Murders,Pont Neuf,Missing and Endangered, & Murder in Old Bombay. The others I am at various stages of reading.
pickThis is a good mystery if you like genealogy. It‘s also a handy choice for something a bit lighter that‘s not romantic or a cozy. Our MC is a freelance genealogy consultant—a full on nerd. But his latest case has higher stakes than it seems and he‘s got to tap into some inner reserves in addition to his smarts. Looking forward to reading a few more of the series!

Jefferson Tayte Geneaoligical series
My mom and I enjoy diving into our family trees when we have time so I liked this series in which a genealogy expert solves crimes by digging up the past. In fact, I see that there are a couple more books out that I haven't read so they're going on my own TBR. 😁

pickThis wasn‘t the greatest ever mystery but it was good enough for me to get the next one lined up on my Kindle. It‘s a twist on the detective novel with the genealogist at the heart of a mystery that he will have to solve in order to save lives. 3 and a half stars ⭐️ from me
I started reading this book because it‘s all about my Kindle at the moment. I‘m having a baby in less than two weeks and sleep has officially ended (thanks huge bump/summer nights) so it‘s good to be able to read without disturbing hubby with my lamp. Picked this up from Prime Library because it‘s a genealogical mystery- something I haven‘t tried before. And so far I‘m enjoying it.
The Jefferson Tayte series is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. The books aren‘t that great, but do provide a nice bit of escapism (great for #Audioworking!). Robinson could do with some seriously word-culling as there are a lot of superfluous sentences - in what should be an action-packed thriller, do we really need to know that “he admired Isambard Kingdom Brunel‘s collaborative creation with architect Matthew Digby Wyatt.”?
