This is the only book in the series I didn't get approved for on Netgalley. I need to zip through it so I can read the next one before its publication date. 😋
I enjoyed this one much more than the previous book in the series. That being said, I actually feel like the villains are more fleshed out than the good guys. The good guys are all, "too good," in that none of them have bad habits or personality flaws. DK never seems to miss an opportunity to remind us how hot the MC is, which always takes me out of the moment and into an eye roll.
In short, good book, some DK typical flaws but also his flair.
Jane Hawks is a fabulously strong female character, and she comes alive on the pages of The Forbidden Door. I wanted even more of her , as she out-thinks and out-fights those trying to capture her.... https://www.bluestockingreviews.com/blog/the-forbidden-door
Tropical Storm Olivia is keeping us indoors today. ☔🌧 Good time to finish Dean Koontz's new installment in his Jane Hawke series. The storm is having little impact here in Ka'anapali on the west side of the island, but there is flooding up-country & 2,000 customers have lost power. Aloha to those folks! #Maui #VacationReading📚 #Vacation2018🛫
Made a special trip to Barnes & Noble before work today so I could pick up Dean Koontz's new book! I have loved his work ever since I first read his books in middle school so I always get super excited when he writes a new one! What a good day! 🤗📚💕
This the newest book in the Jane Hawk books. In this one she is trying to get to her son. Once again we have the bad guys trying to get Jane, her son and her in-laws. Once again there are twists and turns. If you are into thrillers then you will enjoy this series.
