The Measurements of Decay
The Measurements of Decay | K. K. Edin
5 posts | 3 read | 10 to read
Three narratives intertwine to tell a tale of escalating madness and heroism: A lone renegade in the future, living as an exile on a starship that comes under attack. A miserable 21st C. philosopher sinking into madness as he tries to solve the problems of humanity. A girl unbound by time, who fleets through epochs as a mystical wanderer.

These were my favorite reads of 2018. Each of them changed me in some noticeable way, and I‘m so grateful that these books “found” me. Here‘s to another year of great reading Littens!

Holy wow! I am SHOOK! This book is incredible, and I‘ve never read anything else quite like it. The book tangles with big ideas - language, duty, freedom, love - all within the framework of SF (though there is a large portion that takes place in our modern age). The prose is dense, the ideas complex, and...I loved it! Certainly not for everyone‘s tastes, but if this sounds like something you‘d enjoy, I can‘t recommend it enough!

2BR02B Sounds terrific. Stacked! 6y

All-in-all this was an intriguing read. Definitely a good Sci-fi novel. I would certainly recommend this book to those who enjoy science fiction and dystopian genres.

Started my first book from #NetGalley. As if I didn‘t have enough to read. The books I own, Overdrive, NetGalley - I have more books than I can read in what remains of my short existence. I don‘t remember who here first told me about the site, but #LitsyMadeMeDoIt. Oh, and I forgot. I have Prime Reading AND I just signed up for a Kindle Unlimited deal for $1.99/3 mo. And I‘m still waiting to win a giveaway from Litsy. I think I have a problem.

WorldsOkayestStepMom I just started using OverDrive because of litsy. 6y
PurpleyPumpkin I recently signed up on NetGalley too. Not enough time in the world to read everything I want to read!📚 6y

Ingerella Sounds familiar! My addiction to Kindle Daily Deals is pretty severe. Can't stop buying them! I also have Overdrive and Hoopla. There's no way I can read everything on my Kindle and tablet right now! 6y
Alfoster We need a support group but I can‘t come up with an acronym: something like Litsy Addicts Who Won‘t Give Up Reading. My brain is full. Weigh in!😍 6y
azulaco This sounds like my life! On the positive side, I did the Kindle Unlimited trial and I‘m finding that I don‘t like their offerings. So that will be eliminated from my banquet of book choices, at least. I still have Scribd, Overdrive, Hoopla, Serial, Prime Reading, and so many unread books that I have banned myself from NetGalley! 6y
