When they arrive, it is clear something has gone terribly wrong (you can guess from the title what type of thing that might be). I found this fun, suspenseful, and fast-paced. Book 2 has just been released and I may have to get to it sooner rather than later to see what happens next.

Wanted to share that Contagion by Erin Bowman is on sale in ebook for $1.99. If you‘re a fan of the “Aliens” franchise, this book is well worth a check. Still mulling this one over. It was fast paced and suspenseful. But because of the pacing I didn‘t get to really care about any of the characters. So anything that happened to them didn‘t hit me as it was meant to. The writing was very info-dumpy and there were SO MANY dumb decisions made by “smart” people 😪 Overall it did what it was meant to. If you‘re a fan of viral thrillers set in space you might like this.

Been a little MIA on here lately because of this cute ball of fluff! This is her “after bath but before shake” look. I‘m hoping to finish the tagged book today/tomorrow and I still have a couple of reviews to post on here since I am woefully behind. But in the meantime. Here‘s Daisy 🙈🤪

I forgot how hard it is for me to read with dilated eyes 😪 It‘s already dark, gray and rainy here today. The sunglasses I have to wear certainly aren‘t making seeing any easier haha.

Finished this a few days ago and it is the first time I can ever remember hoping the author would kill absolutely everyone.

I couldn‘t get into this at all. I feel I may not be in a mood for a sci-fi thriller and that‘s contributing to my inability to connect. Or the writing isn‘t my kinda jazz. Whatever the case, shelving it for now.

DNF means no rating.

I shall also be starting this sci-fi, horror novel. I think it‘s also YA. I don‘t know much about it other than it involves some spooky virus thingymajig. I figured the less that I know, the more receptive I‘ll be to the twists and horror elements (hopefully).

Bailing on this book. There‘s nothing particularly horrible about it,but it‘s not amazing. The writing isn‘t exceptional, and I‘m only reading exceptional in 2019! #booksnob

A mystery illness in space where no help is coming. I definitely guessed a few of the big turns. But I liked the slow horror reveal of information.

It wasn‘t for me. It‘s well written, but not my cup of tea. I had to DNF it.

I‘m WAAAAAY behind on my posts about my reading. Oops! I polished off Erin Bowman‘s Contagion and loved it. As a person who loved the “Aliens” film (the first two more than the rest), this book hits the spot. I‘ll confess that there‘s a twist with the disease that I saw coming (won‘t spoil it here), but I was okay with that. The cliffhanger ending is frustrating but it opens the door for what has the potential to be a big sequel. #FingersCrossed

Think Outbreak in space. This SciFi thriller takes you on an eerie ride to answer an SOS call from a mining post in deep space. The site has a history of things not going well so when a survivor is found when the rest of the crew is dead, who do the newcomers trust? The last recorded ships log w/the words of a dying man or the kid who's still living? If you like your space tales with an extra dash of creepy then you should pick this up. Fun read!

A bit longer than anticipated.

So far, this sci-fi thriller from Erin Bowman is delivering the goods. Lots of good twists and, for the most part, the actions of the characters make sense. #Contagion #scifi #ya #ErinBowman

This book would have been a pick if I had liked the characters more. The storyline was great, very suspenseful and I will definitely be reading the next one. However, most of the characters are unlikable and make stupid choices which was making me cheer more for when they failed rather than when they succeeded.

Erin Bowman‘s Contagion is turning out to be a very different YA novel. The story has ventured into the POV of many characters well beyond their teens. I‘m looking forward to seeing how much it strays from the YA norm. Liking it a lot so far. Went through a lot of different music to start it until I thought of listening James Horner‘s score to “Aliens” (one of his most infamous scores). #Contagion #ErinBowman #YA #scifi

I always love a good sci-fi story. I've seen Alien about 100 times and love every second of it. This was like an Alien and Life mashup. The only complaints I have is there is a sequel to it and the characters were unlikable, but the plot was gripping.

Picked this up yesterday and just finished it. This was my most anticipated read of probably the whole year and it didn't quite live up to my hype. Even so, I really enjoyed it (at least the last third) Where the story left off really got me excited for the second book in this series whenever that gets released😞 3.75🌟 Would recommend.

Time to start a creepy new read! I love virus stories 😍😂
