This is the philosophy that changes the life of bored psychiatrist Luke Rhinehartand in some ways changes the world as well. Because once you hand over your life to the dice, anything can happen. Entertaining, humorous, scary, shocking, subversive, The Dice Man is one of the cult bestsellers of our time.

Here is my list for #roll100 in 2024! Looking forward to this one and getting a fair few of these off my TBR! Going to play it by ear each month but plan will be to read at least one of the rolls monthly.

#BookCoverChallenge
Day 269.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.

Now that the World Cup is over, and I‘m taking a short break from science fiction & fantasy, I thought I‘d grab The Dice Man out of the extensive “to be read” pile.

I picked this up from the hotel book exchange when I was on honeymoon in 2014, it‘s been a while.

I‘m looking forward to getting stuck into it.

Very well written and it's a page turner.
It's about a bored psychologist who let's the dice dictate his life. What could happen?

Very interesting and creative take on what it is to be a "self". Sharp witty writing with plenty of subtle jokes and outrageous plot points that kept me giggling or at least smirking for most of it.
