I'm so glad I didn't ignore this book. I know we finished Vietnam, but this grabbed me and I didn't fight it. Memories of imprisonment, reeducation, and escape from Saigon flow seamlessly through An's trip back to Vietnam. I remember reading this ages ago and remember really liking it, but that‘s all I can remember. I guess given that I‘ve easily read 1500 books or so in my lifetime I shouldn‘t be frustrated with myself but...anyway, has pretty positive reviews on GR and it‘s on sale today.
