Pickpick

I've been cooking with this cookbook daily. I would've added more pics but then it would've been too small to see.
This is a great whole plant-based cookbook. It provides colorful pictures for each recipes, the ingredients are easy to find, and it tasted phenomenal. Even my daughter who isn't a plant-based eater is enjoying them. 👍

EadieB Looks delicious! 4y

I just got this book and the recipes looks delish. I think today I'll go pass by the store and buy the ingredients.

Lynnsoprano Anxious to hear what you think of this. I saw it recently and was intrigued, but trying to justify another cookbook. 4y
Nu-Bibliophile @Lynnsoprano I'll review it once I've tried some recipes. I saw it being highly reviewed on Amazon, so I wanted to give it a shot. 4y
Caroline2 Ohhh they do look yummy! 😋 4y

L. G. Cullens A good start, but what you get from the grocery store isn't necessarily all that healthy, especially basic produce they've used to pesticides on. Of course, few of us can avoid the grocery store altogether. I try by growing as much as I can in my organic garden, but even with my wife canning what we don't eat in the summertime it isn't enough. So far I've made it to 78 though :-)

Grow gardens instead of lawns!

L. G. Cullens Pesticides aren't the only problem either. Besides the government watering down “organic“ regulations, grocery stores are also selling 'organic' produce in plastic bags.

Nu-Bibliophile @L. G. Cullens I agree! I'm studying to get my master's in public health right now so I understand the importance on taking care of our environment and it's affects on our health. I wish I can garden my veggies but any plant that I touch seems to die on me lol😁 4y

Did some #audiosouping today before this cookbook goes back to the library this week. Tried the Curried Cauliflower Soup which is pretty tasty--after I made a couple of minor changes. (Link to the vegan recipe is👇🏻) 🍲❤️ A fairly lazy Sunday--soup, blogging, laundry, finishing up a book for review & about 6 long phone calls with friends & family (my introvert side is tired of talking). 😬😆#cookbook #soupersundays

SandyW I didn't realize he had a cookbook too. Are all of the recipes vegan? 6y
DebinHawaii @SandyW He says vegetarian or plant-based but everything I have looked at so far is vegan. The recipes are by Robin Robertson-one of my favorite vegan cookbook authors. 6y

LauraBeth I love How Not To Die - what are your overall thoughts on his cookbook? 6y
DebinHawaii @LauraBeth I think it's overall a good one although I only got around to trying the Soup & a spice mix that goes in the soup. I took pics of some other recipes to try. It's plant-based & no oil or salt-he uses seasonings or miso in place of salt & date sugar & date syrup for sweetener so it's fairly hard-core, but the recipes are by Robin Robertson-a fave of mine & her recipes are usually easy & good. Not sure I'll end up buying it but I might.😆 6y
Teafiend This title is fantastic. 6y

Since my brain is apparently not into reading a novel for more than an hour at a time, I've just spent much of the last 2+ hours reading this baby cover to cover. I have so many things I want to try now. 11.5 hours down; 12.5 to go! #24in48readathon #24in48 @24in48

danielle_framed @ErinSueG the recipes are simple and delicious! They are all created based on his Daily Dozen. The Curried Chickpeas are one of my favorites for lunch. 6y
