11/225 Restarted this series as am reading with @Tove_Reads and @EadieB Six years since I read this first one and had forgotten some of the details. Really loved this book and kept me wanting to read on and on. A lot goes on in this village. If you are looking for a series about village life with plenty of action and great characters I would definitely recommend this. Love the map of the village. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineView

Started the first book in the Tales from Turnham Malpas Series, which I am reading along with @EadieB @Tove_Reads It‘s also one of my #SeriesLove2023 Series. @TheSpineView

I read this first book over six years but never took the series forward, so am re-reading this one first to remind myself who is who.

A very enjoyable read about a village with extremely quirky people. There is so much going on in this book, and at times I had a hard time keeping up with all the people. I was most definitely not expecting murder, but that happened as well! Can‘t wait to continue with this series!

The New Rector introduces Peter and his wife Caroline to the village. Peter is the new rector. He is young, vigorous and very handsome. The problems of the village become his concern and one in particular as the newly widowed Suzy Meadows turns to him for comfort.

EadieB This was a very enjoyable read about all the characters in a small English village. There are lots of problems with the people who live here and the rector helps solve some of the problems but some of the problems are concerned with him and his wife. If you enjoy reading about small English villages then you will love this book. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series as it picks up right where the last book left off (edited) 2y

The five books I am planning on reading next week. Rebecca Shaw and Rhys Dylan are buddy reads, Peter Hain an arc, Merkel book club, and Chris Carter is the latest in one of the best thriller series ever. Should be a great reading week! 💕
