Things really heated as characters face their wants, dreams, and failures, fret about losing relationships, and run up against more Jellyfish and Amamizukan crisis. I‘m excited to see what happens next with the pushy CEO. As usual there are some disappointing moments of homophobia when characters speculate about Kuranoske being gay (because he regularly dresses in women‘s clothing) and body shaming.
Biiiiiiig library haul this week! I‘m gonna finish PRINCESS JELLYFISH, read some poetry, catch up on Tiffany Reisz, learn Tunisian crochet, watch THE MAGICIANS, and reread Harry Potter on audio.
I‘m glad my library has hard copies of the latter, since the wait times on the electronic audios are 6+ months, but I‘m bummed they only have the Americanized versions. Y‘all can surely guess where I stand on Americanization.
Ahh...it‘s been so long since I got to sit down and bundle up under a blanket AND actually read in my library. It‘s so relaxing and peaceful 😌 I adore moments such as these ❤️📚
pickThis is such a great series, y'all. I love the challenges Amars face as they fight to keep their home, the fashion dilemmas that grip Japan as a whole, the way both Tsukimi and Kuranosuke tell their mothers so much about their lives even though neither mother is in a position to hear it...
It's just good, human stuff, plain and simple. I can't wait for the next volume. #comics #manga
I think I've settled on my modest physical #comicthon pool: three things from my manga stack, two library loans, and two things from my embarrassingly large collection of library discards I've purchased and left unread. Together with my digital comics TBR, this should keep me occupied all day tomorrow!
