This story should have been longer. I wanted to read more about Lucy and Cyrus. I'm going to start the next one right away.

In case there is any question in your mind," he said, cupping her face with his hands. "What I want, what I most desire, the loveliest sight on this dark earth, is you.”

EloisaJames I just have to say that it is adopted from my all time favorite Sappho poem. It's just a fragment of a poem, actually. I'm so glad you liked it! 8y
Josephines_Library @EloisaJames I happen to adore that poem by Sappho. What comes before these lines, Cyrus trying to convey his love for Lucy. It's quite the sigh worthy moment. Then all those feels he puts into that poem... goodness, it's why he's one of my all time favorite hero's 😍 8y
EloisaJames @Josephines_Library I love it that you recognized the poem!!! And yes--I remember finishing the book and thinking that I should have written it as a book. I would have liked more Cyrus! 8y
