Another great Amelia Peabody adventure. I loved how this was a lost tale. #pantone2022

I struggled & often tuned out of the audiobook. When I focused again I could still follow along. It was frustrating to go back in the series timeline & deal with pre-Ramses/Nefret, knowing everyone survives (main characters always do, but it still lacked suspense), & pre-Sethos revelations. Book seemed like filler. Narrator Rosenblat, as always, injected life to the cast, but overall the book did not hold up. 2/5 ⭐ #projectSAMS
My little Doxie man is 8. 🐶❤️ His name is Ramses after Amelia Peabody‘s son in the book series. 🤓
Another great installment in the series and I love Barbara Rosenblatt's narration. She does a phenomenal job with all of the characters. My only complaint is that this novel is out of chronological order which unfortunately means we get more of lovesick, whiny Ramses, although he's admittedly not as bad as he was in prior books. Other than that-great characters, mystery, intrigue, and a hefty body count, with a little archaeology thrown in. 😍
I had to think about this one for a while, because there are so many to choose from, and so many of my favorites had already been mentioned. Then my eye fell on this one, and I laughed. Amelia Peabody is most certainly an #unforgettablewoman, as is Elizabeth Peters! #booktober
