Went to a wine tasting with my dad today. I still don‘t like the reds. Here‘s my rating for the last three. 🤣🤣

Karkar That rating system is great!! 6y
CocoReads @Karkar I was having fun with it. Didn‘t think of it til those last three though. But, I had fun, and I‘d totally go again even though I‘m not much of a drinker these days. 6y

I don't drink a lot, and I tend to favor cheap, sweet wines that taste like koolaid. But I should have bought this bottle of Envy when we stopped because I think if I was to get it at St. Julian's, it would cost more. It just seemed so wrong to buy it at the gas station though....#michiganwinecountry. 😂😂🍾🍷

Leniverse I'm from a country where wine can only be bought in special shops with strict opening hours, so I get a kick out of buying wine at gas stations, the corner store, on a Sunday, late at night, etc etc. 😂 7y
CocoReads @Leniverse I could see that! I get a kick out of buying it on Sunday's because in Indiana, where I live you can't buy alcohol on Sunday. But I actually live about 5 minutes from the Michigan border so I just hop across all the time to buy it. 7y
Leniverse I forget that the different states will have different rules. But I also have this image of the US as having drive-thru everything. Including drive-thru liquor stores. I'm sure they exist. Just maybe not in Indiana. (I have a friend who moved to Indiana from Washington, and she is continually tearing her hair out over Indiana rules and regulations!) 7y

CocoReads There are drive through liquor stores! Not where I live but southern IN has them here and there. I can understand your friends frustration, I was born here but have also lived in other states. I love my state but we are hopelessly backwards... 7y
LauraBeth Michigan Wine Country 😂 7y
CocoReads @LauraBeth it's a thing! It really is. At least in Southwest Michigan. 7y
LauraBeth Well then I have a reason to visit Michigan! 7y
CocoReads Google Lake Michigan Wine Trail. We weren't really following it but passing through on our way home. Coincidentally, we're considering moving to Michigan (or back to MI in my case) if we can get our act together in the next few years. 7y
Daisey St. Julian Winery is the one I stopped at when I visited Michigan! 🍷 7y
CocoReads @Daisey my parents go there a lot. They like Founders too. 7y
litmuggle Your not alone i don't care for the fancy wines either if the guy at the store wouldn't have talked me into a peach bottle one Christmas I still wouldn't like it. 7y
CocoReads @litmuggle ooh, Peach is a good one. I also fancy Arbor Mist mango strawberry moscato. I tried that at Thanksgiving last year and it was delightful! 7y
