Surrealist #bookmail. Woo-HOO! I'm very interested in the exercises and games they devised to bring subconscious archetypes into consciousness. These books look fascinating! 😍📚🙌🏻

ValerieAndBooks Both look really good! Not sure how the surrealist games one work, does it include the "exquisite corpse" exercise? 7y
Louise @ValerieAndBooks YES! The Exquisite Corpse is such a mainstay in Surrealist exercises, isn't it?! 😂 The book's broad categories are 1. Language Games, 2. Visual Techniques, 3. Re-Inventing the World, 4. Documents. It's got some really fun illustrations too! If you are particularly interested in writing exercises (for self, group, and classroom) that are partly derived from Surrealist approaches, I highly recommend (edited) 7y
Louise @ValerieAndBooks An excellent revised and expanded edition of Sing Me... came out recently and is available through Steiner Books. 7y
ValerieAndBooks @Louise I will have to look into all this! My creativity has been a huge zero for the last few years and that needs to change. 7y
Louise @ValerieAndBooks Be sure to post about your creative adventures! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🎉🎉🎉 7y
