Everlost
Everlost | Neal Shusterman
Nick and Allie don t survive the car accident, but their souls don t exactly get where they re supposed to go either. Instead, they re caught halfway between life and death, in a sort of limbo known as Everlost: a shadow of the living world, filled with all the things and places that no longer exist. It s a magical, yet dangerous place where bands of lost kids run wild and anyone who stands in the same place too long sinks to the center of the Earth. When they find Mary, the self-proclaimed queen of lost souls, Nick feels like he s found a home, but Allie isn t satisfied spending eternity between worlds. Against all warnings, Allie begins learning the Criminal Art of haunting, and ventures into dangerous territory, where a monster called the McGill threatens all the souls of Everlost. In this imaginative novel, Neal Shusterman explores questions of life, death, and what just might lie in between."

Everlost by Neal Shusterman

This was the first Shusterman book that I read and I was hooked. So far, I've enjoyed every book that I read of his. This one is about kids being stuck in limbo after death.

I love Neal Shusterman! This was a great start to a series about the afterlife of those who die young. I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

I get the best stuff from those FB swap groups! I got the new editions of Shusterman's Skinjacker Trilogy for Lucas and they're like brand new. 🤩

BoldCityBooks I just finished the first one. I loved his Scythe series so I had high hopes for it. It was good but was a bit odd. Definitely got better towards the end. Hoping to start the second one soon. 3y
Rachel.Rencher @BoldCityBooks Scythe is what got me hooked on him, too! I loved Dry, but the Unwind series was a it weird for me. I read the first one and haven't gotten the rest. Thanks for the tip on this series! 3y
Auntynanny If you haven't read “Challenger Deep,“ it is amazing. Just a stand alone though. 3y

I really loved the concept of having some kind of place right in between alive and dead. It was a very fun adventure to read, and I totally recommend it.

It's not heaven and it's not hell; It's the Everlost. A place where kids get stuck when they die... the question becomes "how do they get to where they need to?!" Well, all it takes is a coin, and the help of both Allie and Nick.

Another book about teenagers on the flip side. I'm not sure how a normal person would react to being dead. I enjoy when not everything is as it seems but I really should've figured it out sooner.
