What if the research and development department created to produce the first atomic bomb was a front for a series of other, more unusual, programs?

Man, I really wanted to like this, but there's just too much goofy insanity, all dumped on the reader at once. The real tragedy is that there's a character who's new to the world of the titular Projects and, optimally, he could've been used to ease us in too. Unfortunately, the story is in such a pants-wetting hurry to get from one "kewl" setpiece to another that they just can't be bothered.

Alternative (or is it?!?) history of the makers of the first atomic bomb, and also some of their evil doppelgängers, and also aliens. Intrigued and will keep reading.

Not my cup of tea. I really didn‘t care for it. Way too dark for me. 2nd tbr for #11thHourReadathon and #NewYearsReadathon

I'm excited to get these in the mail! Another #blameitonLitsy purchase.

Zelma The Uncommon Reader is so much fun. Quirky and odd and perfect for book people. 💕 7y
Eyelit Loved Uncommon Reader! Heads up on MP - it starts out pretty strong in the first couple of volumes, but kinda devolved into gobbledygook towards the end imo. 7y

What started out as an AU WWII era graphic novel (or so I thought) turned into a strange science-fiction spin on The Manhattan Project and the many famous scientists behind it. This graphic novel takes history and science and turns it on its head. It's weird, slightly disturbing, and completely piqued my interest. I'm eager to get my hands on Vol. 2! ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Laura317 I've got to find this! Having grown up in a town created around the MP, that alternate universe sounds fun. 7y

Book 100 of 2016, woo-hoo! This took me a really long time to get into (not a huge fan of the art), and I almost bailed on it. Then it clicked for me and I found myself really digging it - it satisfied my Planetary itch! Definitely going to find the next volumes.

Chelsey Graphic novel with Dick Feynman?! Where do I sign up??? 8y
brendanmleonard It's basically the weirdo avengers with atomic era scientists. fenyman's not the only one here 😄 8y

Excellent alternative history where all of your favorite or most hated WWII scientist uncover the universes craziest secrets from aliens, weapons, to interspace traveling devices. Just don't let Oppenheimer eat you.
