Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After | Steve Hockensmith
12 posts | 25 read | 15 to read
When we last saw Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy at the end of the "New York Times" best seller "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" they were preparing for a lifetime of wedded bliss. Yet the honeymoon has barely begun when poor Mr. Darcy is nipped by a rampaging dreadful. Elizabeth knows the only acceptable course of action is to promptly behead her husband (and then burn the corpse, just to be safe). But when she learns of a miracle antidote being developed in London, she realizes there may be one last chance to save her true love and for everyone to live happily ever after. Complete with romance, heartbreak, martial arts, cannibalism, and an army of shambling corpses, "Dreadfully Ever After" brings the story of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" to a thrilling conclusion."

I‘ve never liked zombies but I still found this trilogy amusing. All the talk of throwing stars and katanas works well with the language and mores of Regency England.

Because this book had my favorite people in it the Bennets and the Darcys, I enjoyed it. But to warn others it does get slow with scenes of zombie activities I though were totally unnecessary. We saw four Bennet girls but one was missing, I won't say which one to keep the suspense. Only three saw fighting activities and finally two of my least likely people died.

On to my next Pride and Prejudice Adaptation.

One of the things I love about audio book is accents. A fine Scottish brogue.

😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂There is a passage in this book , where Elizabeth is going into London and the question sound just like he ones my doctor asked me a week ago about my visit. The only thing is instead of zombies my doctor wanted to know about Covid. Too funny.

This CD set has eight disc and the first has me on the edge of my seat. Twist and turns I was not expecting.

I did not understand the cover on the book, but now I know. This is chapter two. I am hoping it gets better.

Its a spoiler. If you have read the book you probably know what happened. If not one day you too will bet there.

New audio. This is my 4th adaptation. It is off to a very good start. No matter where I have been it is good to be back with the Bennett sister, as there names were before they got married.

I am considering joining the Jane Austen Society. Anyone familiar with?

I didn't read the book, but watched the movie last night. So silly, but the "proposal scene" was perfect!!!! Also Matt Smith was adorable as Collins.

jpmcwisemorgan I haven't read it yet either but I enjoyed the movie. I agree with the proposal scene too! 8y
