In the Language of Love
In the Language of Love | Diane Schoemperlen
4 posts | 1 read
In this astonishingly inventive novel, Diane Schoemperlen uses the 100 stimulus words from the Standard Word Association Test as a narrative framework for exploring her heroine's growing understanding of the meaning of love. A tour de force of wit and wordplay, In the Language of Love is a wise and compassionate collage of one woman's coming of emotional age.

For my last post, I went searching through my bookshelves to make a stack of books with "love" in the title, and found...two?!?! How is that it? Such a common word and theme?!?! And so I ask you: what is your favourite book with "love" in the title?

Let me know using the tag #LOVEtitles (Don't forget to tag me in the post, too!) Or comment below ?

(Photo is from Merriam-Webster, it was just too perfect not to borrow!)

I think I've finally put together #spinepoetry that I'm happy with! First few attempts ended up a little dark...

Lost in a good book,
Gone with the wind.
Angels surfacing in the language of love,
The Haunting sweetness at the bottom of the pie.
