So far I am only on chapter 3 and it is really good so far? Wanted to know what everyone‘s thoughts on this book are ☺️. I‘m loving it so far!!

When I first saw this book, I was expecting a twisted romance, as expected from Colleen Hoover. However, the core theme is family drama, with romance just being a backbencher. The absurd family👨👩👧👧 and depression are taking two front rows. Overall, it's a gripping read.📖
⭐️⭐️⭐️ No one has a clue what‘s going on at “Dollar Voss,” the church turned house divided into, you guessed it, fourths. Though all the unusual names were distracting, and the characters were intentionally very quirky, the thread of depression, how it‘s handled, and sometimes, not handled, felt reasonably realistic. Merit‘s trophy collection was a clever touch. Two more books and I‘ve read CoHo‘s entire catalogue. I don‘t care if you‘re a hater.
“We aren‘t put on this earth to be carbon copies of our parents. Peace doesn‘t come to everyone in the same form.”
3.5/5 stars. Easily digestible read that you can swallow up in one sitting. The characters were likeable and it had a couple of normal CoHo twists. Definitely on the cheesy side
I'm always a fan of a good book and a good drink. The only ever experience I've had with Hoover's writing was Verity. I wasn't sure what to expect. I was delightfully surprised that this was nothing like Verity since I wanted something light and easy to read. There are times when it makes you laugh and then times where it makes you feel all the feelings. It hits you deeper than you feel like it should.

Not Colleen Hoovers best book in my opinion, but it was still a good one and has some good perspective on depression.
Despite the wackiness of the family and the protagonist‘s depression, this ended up being a simple, soothing listen. I liked it, but wouldn‘t recommend.
Today I took a trip to The Bookworm Box store. Colleen Hoover's store!! 😃 It's such a nice store! I fangirled quietly to myself 😅 Ah, I loved it! 🥰
With each new book I read of Colleen Hoover‘s I am fascinated by her ability to have such diversity in her writing. This story was so much more than just a romance novel as it tackled some pretty hard topics. Overall, it may not be my favorite novel by Colleen but I can really appreciate the message of this book.
3.5/5⭐️
I‘ve read some reviews where this was one of the less popular CoHo books but I loved it! The book dealt with some tough subjects such as depression and suicide and I think this book examined those themes very well. My heart broke at certain times and I just couldn‘t put it down.
This book has hijacked my vacation. It‘s soooo good that I must finish it.
Book 32
This book did not meet my expectations at all. The main character, Merit, was a plain, one-sided character who‘s only personality trait was that she hated everything for absolutely no reason. The love interest, Sagan, has zero backstory and character development, and his only personality trait is that he‘s an artist and what he draws is “deep”. And the only likeable character was made out to be a “bad guy” most of the story.
“Not every mistake deserves a consequence. Sometimes the only thing it deserves is forgiveness.”
Even though Without Merit is advertised as another romance work, it is much more a family drama. While there is certainly a love story at play, the bigger topic faced is mental illness.
Merit Voss lives with her unorthodox (to say the least) family in a repurposed church. Her main hobby is collecting trophies, which ultimately leads her to finding Sagan, the potential love interest of the story.
Always a CoHo fan, I will say not my favorite.
I love this author. She‘s not afraid to tackle writing non-perfect characters. I loved Merit and her whole crazy, dysfunctional family. Sagan is an amazing hero. Have Kleenex handy. Be aware this story does touch on depression and self harm. Colleen Hoover is officially an automatic buy for me.
I have read 80% of Colleen Hoover's books and each time has been a pleasant journey to partake in. New perceptives to every one of them. She knows how to tailor characters so well that one relates in depth. Through each of her books you travel through love, shame, terror, insecurities and hope. This week I'm yet ready to gracefully dive into one of her master piece.
This was a borderline pick. The story moved and was entertaining enough, but the ending was just too overwrought for my tastes.
"So many people dream of living in a house with a white picket fence. Little do they know, there's no such thing as a perfect family, no matter how white the picket fence is."
Did you figure out that I'm a huge Colleen Hoover fan yet or should I upload some more reviews raving about her books for you to see it?
This was one of the first books I read by Colleen Hoover and guess what? I loved it. As always.
I'm starting to see now that I don't hate books or even think they were not worth the time it took to read them all that often. But honestly Colleen Hoover is my favorite writer (right after shakespeare).
11/3/2020 This book was interesting. A “Running with Scissors” dysfunctional household that continues to spiral. A train wreck and I couldn‘t look away. Ultimately, it was not an uplifting book as the main character deals with the mess of her family. As the reader, you can‘t help but root for her.
This book contains a mix of feelings , sends you up high and drown you to the deep end at the same time .
At first fifty pages I wasn‘t looking forward to complete it but then I started it all Over again and oh boy... literally finished it in 4 hours max.

Quirky characters with a frank look at mental illness, with a spot of levity on top.
Excited to start this one today!!
Once again, Colleen Hoover has me sobbing 😭

Just finished Without Merit. Oh man. Could I LOVE Colleen Hoover any MORE!? The way she addresses extremely hard subjects and tackles them realistically, makes her feel like a real person, instead of just some make believe famous author. Definitely 5 stars.
Started this one tonight. Can't wait to see if it lives up the other books by Colleen Hoover.
Tori thank you so much! I love Colleen Hoover and this has been on my TBR forever. You are so sweet 🥰
My current read! Have you read it? Did you love it? If not, why? Have you read other CoHo books? If so, which ones!? #covertocovercafereads

So I finished my second full book (third overall) for this #24in48 readathon: "Without Merit" by Colleen Hoover. It didn't disappoint. It had all the attributes of a good Colleen Hoover novel: a love story, crazy twists, and the compelling writing style that makes you want to keep going.
Sooooo I'm back from brunch, I've showered, it's 6PM here and I'm 13 hours into the #24in48 challenge. If you're any good at math, you know I won't make it. 😂
But I don't care: I'll do my best. And at least I think I'll manage to finish this book. It's Colleen Hoover, so it's a quick read.
So it's 2AM here in Paris and I'm calling it a night for the #24in48 readathon. Not sure I'll make it to 24 hours of reading (I'm a little over 11 now) but I will try!
So the part about humming is true. I tried. Go figure. 🤷♀️
Also, as an agnostic atheist, I feel somewhat offended to be paired with home-wreckers and necrophiliacs. 😂 #24in48
So, I got some supplies, and now I'm fully equipped for my next read! #24in48
I don't know how Colleen does it, but she explains the human condition in a way that makes you feel completely vulnerable. Without Merit follows Merit Voss as she navigates living in a renovated church with her dysfunctional family, and an 8 foot Jesus statue that she adorns for holidays (and a Packers game when he was appropriately dubbed Cheesus Christ). Seriously though, this book is witty and raw. I love her writing and I was not disappointed.
About the moment when I first read this story/poem Sagan wrote , I stared at the page for literally 10 minutes unable to believe it's degree of perfection. I kept flipping through pages rereading it again and again. It's utterly perfect.💎🥀
The whole book is utterly perfect♥️.
At the airport to go home! ✈ We made it through the holidays with the in-laws!! Phew.
I'm loving this book. It's witty and cringey in a way that only Colleen Hoover could pull off. I'm hoping to finish this up today. 🤓
