After trading the barracks for a fixer-upper rental, navy SEAL Zack Nelson wants peace, not a roommateespecially not Pike, who sees things about Zack he most wants to hide. Pike's flirting puts virgin Zack on edge. And the questions Pike's arrival would spark from Zack's teammates about his own sexuality? Nope. Not going there. But Zack can't refuse. Pike Reynolds knows there won't be a warm welcome in his new home. What can he say? He's an acquired taste. But he needs this chance to get his life together. Also, teasing the uptight SEAL will be hella fun. Still, Pike has to tread carefully; he's had his fill of tourists in the past, and he can't risk his heart on another, not even one as hot, as builtand, okay, yeah, as adorableas Zack. Living with Pike crumbles Zack's restraint and fuels his curiosity. He discovers how well they fit together in bedin the showerin the hallway He needs Pike more than he could have imagined, yet he doesn't know how to be the man Pike deserves. I had a long car trip yesterday & this kept me entertained. I liked Zach & Pike and how the relationship developed between them. The conflict Zach had with accepting himself & his feelings & being honest with people was very realistic. Zach‘s parents behavior broke my 💔. Parenting should always start with unconditional love. #romantsy

I haven't been feeling very well mentally & emotionally lately & Annabeth Albert has yet to disappoint me on the immersive read front. This might be the best I've read by her so far. I think @xicanti did a review that perfectly explains why it's fantastic. So much love for Albert's work. #romantsy

This gave me everything I expect from Annabeth Albert: intense chemistry that blossoms organically, enthusiastic consent, and characters whose relationship inspires them to make positive life changes that help them embrace new dreams. I couldn't put it down, and you'd better believe I teared up.

On top of the excellent emotional payoff, one hero has two beloved cats. Hurray for fictional pets! #romantsy

I bought the 2nd book in this series on sale a couple days ago, but thought I better read the 1st book first. Luckily my library's Overdrive collection had it available. So starting that one now. #currentlyreading #romantsy

Also, have you guys checked out Overdrive's new app, Libby? I find it a bazillion times more user friendly than their old app.

Chelsea.Poole I'm loving Libby! I agree, user friendly 👍🏻 7y
MarriedtoMrT Love Libby! I tell everyone I can about it. It's SO much easier to use. 7y

Gosh, I enjoyed this one! Read it while at a writing retreat and it was just want I needed to unwind with at the end the day. A first time author for me, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!
