My maternal Grandma owned this book. The emotions I felt when reading The Animals' Christmas Eve by Gale Wiersum (A Little Golden Book) all came flooding back as we opened it tonight. Just like Conley did I always counted the illustrated animals to make sure they matched the rhythmic text. I love sharing the memories I have of specific books with my kids. (December 9, 2022)

I am so excited to start the Christmas Book Countdown with the boys on December 1st! Each day we will read one #christmasbook until we read the story of Jesus‘s birth on Christmas Eve. This is going to be so much fun!
