In 1994, he and two friends were (falsely) convicted of the brutal “satanic ritualistic” murders of three young boys. While Echols sat on death row for nearly two decades, he kept a journal, from which sprung this incredibly well-written, eloquent, and truly fascinating, memoir. ⬇️

DogMomIrene I lived across the Mississippi in Memphis when those three little boys were murdered. Everything about the investigation of the WM3 seemed wrong to me at the time. When the first Paradise Lost documentary came out, I was not surprised that the case against the WM3 was beyond weak. I‘m glad Damian‘s been published. I‘m sure he‘s got a lot to say. 2y

britt_brooke @Cinfhen This book is better, but very different than Devil‘s Knot. This one does not talk specifics about the crime, so if you go with it, I‘d recommend reading the wiki page or similar prior. 😉 2y
