"Horrific, totally engrossing. . . A compelling look at insane brilliance." --Ann Rule A psychopathic mastermind whose reign of terror had no limits--even murder. . . For years, Eddie Lee Sexton ruled his family with perverse domination. He enforced every cruelty imaginable, from vicious beatings to raping his daughters and fathering their children. Yet the sadistic father nearly escaped death row on a legal technicality. Lowell Cauffiel's unsparing non-fiction thriller reveals a house of horrors Eddie Lee Sexton thought no one would ever see. Now updated, it shows how Sexton's sick genius ultimately dodged justice, and investigates the tragic aftermath of his victimized family. "An odyssey into American pathology. Deeply disturbing." --Detroit Free Press "A balanced and grimly engaging true-crime account." --Publishers Weekly "Cauffiel knows how to dramatize true crime." --Elmore Leonard Warning! Contains 16 pages of graphic photos.

My hometown murder, in Jackson Township, Ohio; this book is an account of the horrors that took place in the Sexton household, just down the street from me. Sexual abuse, fetal sacrifices, and other weird cult shit is not for the faint of heart but perfect for a #murderino #myfavoritemurder #ssdgm Eddie Lee Sexton will haunt your dreams.

Kaye Welcome to the gang. There are some other true crime fans sprinkled throughout the group 👍 2y

Another true crime I read several years ago. Saw it in the bookshop so thought I'd snap a photo. This happened in a town about 45 minutes from us. Pretty disturbing. A wacko dad and a mom afraid to stand up to him. Some horrid stuff went on in this family. Good read if these subjects aren't too rough for you. Perverted, violence, murder, child abuse. 4 ✨for unusual case.

1MoreChapter I love the late Ann Rule, she was the best at true crime writing! 2y
Kaye Yea she was good although she didn't write this one. 2y

Kaye Wow, @KUBuckeye. A pretty messed up family, wasn‘t it ? It always makes the story seem a bit more creepy when you know it happened so close by. 2y
KUBuckeye Yeah! I went to school with some of the kids at Jackson; we had the same guidance counselor who is in the book. My HS boyfriend lived directly across the street from them. The stories gave me nightmares back then!! 2y
Kaye I sure felt sorry for the kids. They were really messed up from all the weird crap happening. It seemed they weren‘t lucky enough to even have one good parent. Both of them were screwy. @KUBuckeye (edited) 2y

This one horrified and sickened me, but being a seasoned TC reader, I got through it. Your opinion if you've read it....
