It started off as a battle of wits. Me: the ordinary girl with a big mouth against Him: the sexy bastard with a big...ego. I thought I'd hit the jackpot when I was upgraded to first class on my flight to London. That is until HE sat next to me. Gabriel Scott: handsome as sin, cold as ice. Nothing and no one gets to him. Ever. He's a legend in his own right, the manager of the biggest rock band in the world, and an arrogant ass who looks down his nose at me. I thought I'd give him hell for one, long flight. I didn't expect to like him. I didn't expect to want him. But the biggest surprise? He wants me too. Only in a way I didn't see coming. If I accept his proposal, I leave myself open to falling for the one man I can't manage. But I'm tempted to say yes. Because the real man beneath those perfect suits and that cool facade just might be the best thing that's ever happened to me. And I just might be the only one who can melt the ice around his heart. Let the battle begin..."

Sunshine + Chatty Girl 4ever ?

My love for Gabriel Scott deserves a #CoverLustFriday feature.

That jawline, his witty snark (don‘t worry, our heroine serves it right back to him), his starchy soul paired with a cool façade, his very particular tea preference (strong with a splash of milk, one sugar, and NEVER in a paper cup), oh and did I mention he can‘t sleep unless Sophie is next to him?

Spoon feed it all to me, thankyouverymuch.

Gabriel Scott is the perfect book boyfriend. He‘s stern and grumpy, but so sweet and protective of those he cares about. And he‘s even more protective of his heart. You can‘t help but love him.

This book is sexy and funny, but the relationship between Sophie and her sunshine is just awesome.

Y‘all this series is amazing. The characters...I can‘t even. They are so complex and you root for the happy ending. Off to find book three!

Oh, this was an unexpectedly lovely read. If you love a grumpy and sunshine duo, this is gonna be your catnip. And a hilarious one bed situation. The grumpy one is just adorable when combined with his found family and how they interact with his grumpy butt. Just read this, okay? #romantsy

I was actually surprised that I enjoyed as much as I did. The book is a romance contemporary , and its then second in a series, but I could remember the first one. I gave it 3 star, it's a okay read, and I found it very cute, but was also annoying for me at the end.

Did not finish any of my weekend TBR but I did read this one and also immediately downloaded the other books in the series because it was super fun.

But holy typos, Batman! That kind of thing usually doesn't bother me but it was a whole situation in this book.

Read this one because it was recommended by the #FatedMates podcast. A bit predictable but the slow burn and then long-awaited climax (heehee, pun intended) set this romance apart. I also loved the rock star vibe and multiple international settings.

Why did I ever become a manager? Writing performance reviews are the worst. Drinking champagne and watching The Emmys to get me through them.... which means I'll just have to heavily edit them in the morning. 😬😬😬

RebL Wishing you a speedy and accurate and compassionate end to the task at hand. 7y
erinreads @RebL I genuinely love my team, so bringing up their flaws is where I'm struggling. I only want to help them without making them feel like crap. 7y
TrishB I've been thinking that a lot this week 😔 7y

I loved. loved Sophia and Gabriel. [side note here, though, I had no idea that Scottie (Gabrial) was British. Did I miss that when reading Idol, or am I now alone?] Both characters were wonderfully created and I connected to them immediately. I loved their connection and witty banter. Let me just say here that this romance is a very, very slow burn. Things don't heat up until the 70% mark and I was 100% OK with that.⠀

This is a lovely romance - starts off laugh-out-loud funny, continues with enjoyable banter, and is a really sweet story of falling in love. Very highly recommended! 5⭐s

Currently reading this laugh-out-loud joy of a book, thanks to a great review from @EloisaJames. I needed the chuckles! #romantsy

MarriedtoMrT I really liked this one. I keep looking for another in the series, though I'm hit or miss with KC. (edited) 7y
ScientistSam @MarriedtoMrT I'm having a blast and it's just what I needed after a long week! Good to know that she can be hit or miss, though. 7y
MarriedtoMrT @ScientistSam It's more me than her. She writes really long books and I prefer shorter, and sometimes they get too emotional for me. Works for a lot of people, though. 7y
ScientistSam @MarriedtoMrT ah, I see. Well, I'm sure I'll be reading more by her and I'll see how that goes😀 7y

This was a great airplane read and would also be a good pick for a #lazyrainysunday. I didn't live the first book in this series as much as everyone else seemed to but found this one to be everything that was promised. A cranky, button downed hero and a fun, sarcastic heroine who have really well done chemistry and good banter. #marchmadness

Enjoyed this hero A LOT. Moody repressed wealthy British band manager? YES, please!! #romantsy #romance

EloisaJames I thought he was really unusual! I liked her too--especially when she made fun of him in the plane. 7y

I'm about a third of the way through and I absolutely love this book! The heroine is funny, snarky and yet not irrelevant. The first person voice feels absolutely fresh -- her joy, humiliation, and frankly expressed desire is clear and hilarious! #romantsy #keeper

There hasn't been a Kristen Callihan book I haven't liked. I love her paranormal historicals and her sporty contemporaries and now her rock band romances. Her heroes are the best. #grumpyhero #romantsy

EloisaJames I am saving this one for a moment when I need it. Love her books! 7y

Loved the interactions between the main characters - the aloof and controlling band manager and the sassy and fun social media marketing (and photograph) person who brings him out of his shell. Though this might seem like a story that's been done before, I found it refreshing, romantic and sweet. The secondary characters are awesome as well.
If you liked the first book - Idol - in the series, you'll definitely love this one!

MeganB Oooo I got the first one when it was on sale, sounds like this series has promise! I was unsure but now I'm much more intrigued 😊 7y

“You know nothing,” Sophie hisses at him.

Ofc, this dialogue reminded me of Jon Snow. 😅
