Oh, What a Busy Day

It's been a busy day so I haven't had time to post anything today! It's past my bedtime now, so I'm posting a quick book-related collage of some of today's highlights: my six year old niece attempting to read one of her great-grandma's books (and actually succeeding in sounding out a few sentences), some of my childhood favourites I just brought home from my parents' place & a quick snap of the old books in my grandma's lovely barrister bookcase!

TK-421 @LeahBergen 🙌 The Cremation of Sam McGee is one of the first poems I recall learning. My grandmother loves reading & writing poetry so it makes my heart happy to see these treasures on her shelves. My photo isn't great, but in addition to Service, she also has several other poetry collections there. 6y

I must not be the only one, but this week has been nuts! It's only been a three day work week, and I'm so pooped when I get home everyday, that I have no energy to grab a book and read. Clwojick @Scurvygirl so many people around me have been sick. I've been lucky to have avoided the cold so far.... but i did have a really bad fever a few weeks back. 6y

mjdowens So glad it is not just me! I️ have not had any down time for myself since before Thanksgiving. I️ feel like I️ am just dragging myself through each day and no energy to even read in the evening. After the new year I️ am demanding a couple of weekends in a row to myself 6y
