Went to a party last night to celebrate Jared's birthday with some of his friends. I'm definitely glad I finally got to meet them, and I'm super happy they have inducted me as a part of their little family! They are AMAZING people and I love them already. Sadly, all the excitement caused a severe Fibro flare up and I had to call into work. What better to do while bed ridden than to read "Death's Mistress?"

I wanted to do the #Decinbooks17 and I almost forgot!!!! In my defense, I‘ve been sick for two weeks (yikes!) and have been the most scatter brained. I haven‘t prepped for any up-and-coming new December reads, but I have one preorder and that is the paperback of Death‘s Mistress by Terry Goodkind. He has an amazingly wonderful fantasy series that spans 15 books and several spin-offs in the same universe and This is the latest of them. Yay!!!

laurieluna @Tamra isn't it? Almost makes me want to tackle all of his other works fo read it. I've attempted Sword of Truth 2 times so far and haven't gotten past book 5 yet. They're so long 😩. The second book is the same layout but in red. So different from the other Goodkind's we have. And theres only going to be 2 books from what I can see, again unusual for Goodkind 😂 6y

Lizpixie You‘re so lucky to have a partner that reads. My hubby doesn‘t read at all, growing up dyslexic in 1970s Australia has made him ashamed of himself for too long. He calls himself dumb and says that he cried when I said yes to marrying him because we‘d have kids that could read and that‘s something he thought he‘d never have. Broke my heart. I have helped encourage him and he reads & writes 200% better than he did but he still thinks he‘s stupid.💔 6y

laurieluna @Lizpixie my partner struggles too! But reading has helped him. His spelling has improved so much too because I have spell checked everything for him for the past 8 years and he's picked up correct spellings from me. His school was a guinea pig school for the phonics teaching method a couple of decades ago and now he spells out things how they sound in his head (perl instead of pearl etc) and so also has some difficulty reading. 6y
