Not sure I crow about my love for Jeff Lemire enough. AD After Death was the first comic/graphic novel I picked up & followed (thanks, Destiny City Comics 👍🏻), and I haven‘t stopped reading him yet.
Just finished Essex County. The second book, Ghost Stories, just gutted me. What a tale of quiet desperation. If you haven‘t read anything else by him, that alone makes this worth picking this up.

Loved the interconnected stories in this collection by Lemire! The stories are quiet and sweet in a way I wasn't expecting. This would be great for readers new to graphic novels. Lemire fans, should I go with Sweet Tooth or Underwater Welder next?

I think my favorite aspect of Jeff Lemire's work is his ability to take a seemingly simple story and characters and meld them into a masterpiece of emotion, art, and tension. I would recommend this for anyone looking to get a deeper look at lemire's catalogue of work. #essexcounty #topshelfcomics #jefflemire

I read this through in one sitting last night. It is not that it is action-packed, very little happens actually but I still couldn't put it down. The illustrations, the depth of the characters? It sure screams Canadian or could easily have been Saskatchewan anyway.

Read this graphic novel in one longish night. Touching and melancholy, in a good way.

Wow. Just...wow. This will be reread because I know it will be a richer experience for it. Love Lemire.
