so-soThis one was just meh. It felt like what it is - a book way into an established series - and like I should already know these characters. I‘ve never read any of the other stories and didn‘t really care for these characters (other than the younger brother and the service dog…loved them both!). It also felt a little bit preachy at times. But the narrator was good and I appreciated that they focused on a returning soldier with PTSD. 🌟🌟🌟

pickI read this in its entirety today. I looooved it. I generally am not interest in Christmas books but this was so good. I loved Taylor's story and while his struggle with PTSD was hard, his bond was Thor warmed my heart.
If only living with PTSD was so simple. This returning vet's story is breaking my heart.
Finally getting to this one. For some reason I can't really explain, I don't care for Christmas novels at all but I'm a big fan of this author and this series so hopefully I'll enjoy it. It's snowing and raining here today so still feels a little Christmasy 🎄🎄

pickI would never have picked this on my own. This is way far out of my normal reading style. But the book club chose it. It was lovely for a Hallmark Channel type story of family love and redemption. And the writing impressed me. Read it in two days.
