For most of the read you could tell it was trying to go somewhere, it just took a lot of pages to get there. The characters where kind of all over the place, couldn't really see what their motivation was for anything. Thinking about it now, the story lines just sort of ended. Ended, not concluded. He thanks his editor for telling him his first draft didn't make any sense. I think more drafts were still needed. It wasn't horrible, just not great.

I downloaded this new book app, Bookout. Is anyone else using it? It keeps prompting me to upgrade to the paid version, and while it is a novelty to track my reading for now, I'm not sure it's worth the $7 Will I get bored of this? Is there any other great things I'll get besides unlimited number of books to track? I know I've wasted money on lesser things, I hate getting tricked into using an app only to have to pay to get the real features.

What if the biblical Abraham lived in modern times? Would people question his parenting skills? Would anyone believe that he talked to God? I'm intrigued by the premise of this novel.
