The Bees: A Novel | Laline Paull

The Bees is amazing. I mean, a real adventure. Told from the perspective of a bee in a totalitarian hive, I've never read anything like it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🐝

Mehso-so

I appreciate this will be a little controversial, but I just didn't love it. I thought it was slow and I felt little for any of the characters. I was expecting a lot from it, and it didn't deliver, maybe that's where I went wrong. I also returned it to the Library before I took a second photo

There's nothing I could say about this book that hasn't already been said, or that everybody's already heard. If you want a book to give you all the feels, and I mean ALL the feels, this will book will do it.

Hooray for Q9.99 second hand books from charity shops ?❤️?? I simply can't help myself! But I tell myself I'm giving to charity, recycling AND saving money (in a fashion) so... ! I'd love to know if anyone has read any of these?

Lizpixie The Bones Of You has been on my TBR shelves for awhile. Too many books, too little time.🕘 8y

I am loving the Serial Reader app. It allows you to read classics in manageable chunks, sent to the app everyday. They have loads of books (including Shakespeare) and it's free! So worth checking out 💗

Sweetgirl is such an exciting book, and Mulhauser's writing had me glued to the book until it was finished. I felt like I was up in the Michigan mountains with Percy and baby Jenna ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If I could quote this whole book I would, but I would be here for days! This book made me angry, made me laugh and, at times, forced me to stop and have a hard think. Most importantly it's made me feel passionately about feminism. Full of funny anecdotes, I want everyone to read this book!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There are, of course, still people out there who think that the reproductive function of women's bodies should exclude them from the public sphere. The technical term for these people is gobshites.

Intensity: A Novel | Dean Koontz

Pickpick

If you are looking for a thrill you could do worse then Intensity by Koontz. I was terrified from start to finish but was desperate to make sure everything turned out OK. If you're a fan of Stephen King you'll enjoy this book. I'll be needing a romance to calm down now I think!

...to resist and fight back, to hold on to hope and dignity and faith in the future. But victimhood was seductive, a release from responsibility and caring: Fear would be transmuted into weary resignation; failure would no longer generate guilt, but, instead would spawn a comforting self-pity
