Oh this one is going to hurt. At least there is a Bear to snuggle while reading.

All the President's Men | Carl Bernstein

I loaned out my copy of this sometime in college, so I got a new one yesterday. The current political climate calls for a reread.

BookishMarginalia I went on a Watergate reading binge a few months ago. Realizing how long it took --and that when Nixon won reelection in 49 states the Watergate connection was already known-- helps me keep perspective. Now I think I need resources on how to resist gaslighting! (edited) 7y

Mama and I are on a plane to Scotland and we are both reading/listening to Outlander in case of spontaneous time travel and sexy Scotsmen.

The kid is hanging out for the weekend since she's on spring break, so the Easter Bunny came to visit tonight. Idk how much she's going to love the telescope, but I'm sure going to enjoy it... 😂😂😂

Well, I moved today, and unpacking these boxes of books is going to make a big dent in the pile. Books are always at least half my boxes. So. Much. Heavy.

The Inner Circle | Brad Meltzer
Pickpick

This has been my work read so it took a while, which is unfortunate, because once it got going, I wanted to read it all in one sitting. I love political thrillers and conspiracies, and The Inner Circle is the best of both. A super fun read!

I just finished a relisten of this. I highly recommend the audio book. Wil Wheaton is not only an excellent narrator, but hearing him read this lovely Star Trek style novel from Scalzi is meta and delightful. A super fun read and probably my favorite from Scalzi. It manages to be hilarious and still ask some big questions.

I've read this one several times, and I'm going through it again tonight. To be honest, I worked at the restaurant for a couple years during the development of this book. Some of it is a trip down memory lane, some of it is appreciating the stories Viv weaves, and some of it is just inspiration. Everyone can love this book and enjoy the stories and food.

SharonGoforth I received this as a Christmas gift from my daughter, and I love it! 7y
mollsbakes @SharonGoforth it's one of my favorites! I love the history of the ingredients in the region. 7y

The teen angst just makes me laugh, but it could be grating at times. I love that these books have potential incest and LGBT issues front and center. They're fine books with some high points; I haven't found anything to deter me from finishing the series at this point.

MrBook Nice review 😊👍🏻. 7y

I've been letting Skyrim eat all my free time again, so most of the reading I've been doing has been in game books. I've been neglecting my real life to read stack, but I've learned a lot about the history of Tamriel 😂😂😂

Rediscovered this that @meggofrank let me borrow like a year or more ago. Next on the list now! And yes, 90% of my photos will be taken on my couch with leggings in the background. I'm lazy.

If you have a small female human in your life in any form, you should read this. Or small male human, non binary alien, or floppy eared dog. I'm not picky. Just read the book. Especially if you have aforementioned small girl childlike thing in your life.

Angsty teens and an annoying love triangle aren't my thing, but some of the periphery characters make up for it. Magnus Bane is marvelous. I'm for any book with good LGBT representation. It was good enough that I'm continuing with the next book, but I'm not sure I would if I was buying the series rather than borrowing.

Norse Mythology | Neil Gaiman

Pickpick

I was never not going to love this book. It has two of my favorite things, Loki and Neil Gaiman. I wasn't prepared for how much I would love this book; I've probably already read it four times. It's got some of my favorite Norse myths, but with his storytelling quirks that make it so familiar, yet new.

MrBook Nice review. And belatedly, welcome to @Litsy ! We hope you're enjoying your stay. 7y
