Had a neat beginning, but I'm gonna get on o the stuff I really want to read.

Charles Stanley is one of my favorite popular preachers and authors today. I'm usually annoyed by young guys walking around like they've figured everything out, so it's nice to hear from someone who is old and wise. I wouldn't be surprised if I read through this whole thing by the time the year is through!

I discovered this little book on Kindle and liked it enough to read it in about an hour. Best takeaway: don't measure your reading by verses or chapters, measure it by time. When you measure by chapters, you just end up trying to finish enough chapters every day. When you read for thirty minutes, you usually end up reading more and enjoying it more. 👍🏼

I just got the username @levi and I'm so happy. ... So the deal with this book is that it's giant and I'm reading other things right now and I'll come back to it later when I can actually focus on the plot for a good solid month or so. I'm not sure how I felt about the little bit I did read, but it's probably good.

I really liked this book, but I didn't finish it because self-development authors are getting really predictable these days. I loved the explanation of each "bucket," and I'll remember that for a long time, but I just wasn't gonna like the whole thing.

WHOA! We just finished the whole series! I just read the last book to my siblings in 1 hour and 27 minutes. It was AWESOME. I've read that series three times now! I must say I like the movie's ending more than the book's ending, so we'll be watching the movie sometime. We're considering what we should read next. Something without monsters and creatures, just for a change of pace. But definitely not something huge, we want to keep momentum.

My little brother wants to read more "mystical" books after we finish The Spiderwick Chronicles. Sort of in the same as Tolkien and CS Lewis. He likes fanciful creatures and adventure. Any recommendations? (PS, we've decided A Wrinkle in Time is more science and less fantasy, so while we will be reading it at some point, just not quite yet.)

Just finished reading this one to the kids. The elves are SO fascinating. Definitely reminiscent of Tolkien elves though. (I hope saying there are elves in the book isn't a spoiler!)

Today I checked these two books out to myself at the library before I clocked out. The one on the left I just happened to find checking it in, the one on the right was HIGHLY recommended by I good friend. We shall see... It's super thick, so I don't know. Lmk if you've read either of these books, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

The artwork for this book is so fun, and the plot so imaginative. Just finished reading it out-loud to two of my younger siblings. Incredibly short.

I enjoyed the bits of this book I read, but he made some ignorant comments about conservatives that sort of soured me on him. Don't make political statements in non-political books! When will you stupid liberal authors ever learn that? Goodness... Anyhow, this book did set me in a good direction of creativity, so I appreciated that, and I do think you should read it. Or just a bit of it, like I did.

I was shuffling through this book and came across a great reason to stop reason! Here's an ignorant comment that manages to slam President Trump, his supporters, and apparently all the Republican part, even though we LITERALLY FREED THE SLAVES. Goodness... Liberals. How awful. So glad Trump beat them all. This was a great year.

I'm reading too many books at once, so I decided to take one out of the stack and gloss over the rest so I can't finish it and bring my number down to five. I also doubt I'll read much of that Jojo Moyes book, which is too bad. I just don't usually like books recommended by everyone! Is this just being a teen?

Just starting to read this. Not sure if I'll end up reading the whole thing. I've heard Jojo Moyes is really good, but I never read Me Before You because it glamorizes suicide. We'll see if this one is any better!

I loved this book so much. One of the few books I didn't have to discipline myself to read, I just loved it so much. Loved the world travel and stuff. Just amazing. I'm not being very descriptive but just go read it.

I have read this book 2.5 times because I love it. Before reading it, I watched the movie and said to myself "how awful!" But then, I felt a strange pull to read it when I saw it at the library. I picked it up, and while some things were still as odd as the movie, it was much, much better than Disney has made it seem. I love the oddness of this book and all the interesting theories. Also, reading this inspired me to write about Madeleine L'Engle.

I loved these books. They're incredibly short, but they have amazing artwork and very interesting idears. If you like any of the old magical authors, definitely read these books. (I was just reminded of these books because I bought them from my library for a dollar. I was so happy.)

On page 75 of A Wind in the Door, the second book in the Time Quintet by Madeleine L'Engle. Shaping up to be quite interesting, though as odd as every other book of hers. I wrote an author analysis about L'Engle that I'll be posting on my blog sometime in the new year.
