Met the man himself last year and got him to sign all of my books by him. Very excited to get into this. He is my joint favourite writer. Wish I had his brain for stories.

Next off the rank is The Sympathizer. Having just come back from honeymooning in Vietnam I am keen to get into it. Also, I have never been disappointed by a Pulitzer Prize winner.

Half way through this amazing beast. Loving it so far. He's done a great job of creating characters that are flawed but likeable. And it's a real page turner. Excited to see where it goes.

MrBook Great tome! 8y

Just about to start this. No idea really what it's about but I've heard a few people say it's decent.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I have that one waiting for me too, I've also heard good things and that the audiobook is excellent too. 8y

Almost finished this beast.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa That's always a good feeling, isn't it! 8y
folanm It sure is. It's a good novel by a talented writer. At the beginning of it I feel he got carried away with some tricks and using unnecessary language and words but half way through he reined it in and seemed to realise that the story was more important than showing off, and the book benefits greatly 8y
Yossarian I'm at about 2/3 in -- waiting for it all to come together (I hope). 8y
folanm Finished it last night. It is a very good book. We'll written, with decent character portrayals. I think the second half is far better than the first - he tones down the clever language and it makes the story flow far better. 8y
