The main has an irreverent voice, and is often hard to take, but I could not put it down. I needed to complete this with her., whatever the outcome. This book is quite an accomplishment.

Which London was that? Intrigued and cannot stop reading. Have just come back from purchasing the second before finishing the first.

Funny, funny, funny. Must be read aloud. Include some children who know their fairy tales.

Outstanding. Poetic. Images of a suburb of Toronto, life of the first generation. Hard truths. Respect. Frustration. Love.

Pick! Pick! Pick! I started with the audio book and moved on to the actual book. Fantastic! Authors Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman wrote a comedic masterpiece together. I cannot wait to see the show!

Saint Patrick's Day joy! Charm and good voices. A shout out to Vancouver Island, one of the loveliest and most adventurous places, full of characters.

The first e-read of my life and have only put it down to sleep, eat and swim. Taking place in different eras, it explores Trotsky in exile, the Spanish Revolution and politics in Cuba.

Finally! Every sentence is beautiful. Well worth the wait and having actually listened to recommendations of friends along with a dear soul in Varadero.

This was actually very well written and an enjoyable read of an expat's first year abroad. I learned much about the Danes and appreciate that even with her light-hearted prose, this was not an easy adventure. So often we come up against the new, not knowing what to do, and even more often, come up against ourselves standing in the way. This was a fun and truthful read.

A laugh out loud, love-the-waiting-room-scenes read. The art is dynamic too.

Candy for everyone! It's likely not healthy, but oh, so enjoyable. RPP is the third in this series of books by Kevin Kwan and it's a riot. I was hoping for more Astrid and here she is. Indulge.

Kid 2 devoured it first laughing while saying, "I can't wait to show you this one" over and over again. We laughed and laughed reading this book together.
