Happy Birthday, Harry! 💜 #HarryPotter
Have you read Milk and Honey yet? Really such a wonderful, powerful poetry collection. I was inspired to make this honey chai iced latte by the title and the poems inside. You can find the simple recipe over on my blog if you'd like to try it for yourself! The link to my site is in my profile. 🙂🍯🐝🐝
"Moon-letters are rune-letters, but you cannot see them," said Elrond, "not when you look straight at them. They can only be seen when the moon shines behind them, and what is more, with the more cunning sort it must be a moon of the same shape and season as the day when they were written. The dwarves invented them and wrote them with silver pens... These must have been written on a midsummer's eve in a crescent moon, a long while ago."
It's the first day of summer and I'm just about to start reading Under the Tuscan Sun. Which, to me, seems quite perfect. Have you read it? What did you think? I love the film but have heard they're quite different. Very much looking forward to something new!
Talking about Bilbo as an inspiring character today and this week here, on IG (@caskandquill) and on the blog (link in bio). To me, he's inspiring because of his bravery and his caring heart. He heads off into the unknown even when he's more comfortable at home with his pantry and his handkerchief. Partly, he does this to help others and also because of a little "something Tookish" that awakes in him. Here's to one of my favorite adventurers!
"There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after."
This quote really is speaking to me lately. I've had some revelations in my life recently that seem rather simple on the outside, but will hopefully have quite an impact on me. Trust one of my favorite books to continue to give me wisdom! ? #TolkienTribe #Tolkien #TheHobbit
This is taking me forever to read, but I am so enjoying it! I've been reading less this month (a well-deserved break, I say!) and, let's face it, this book is long as hell! 😂 I'm nearing the midpoint and every page is increasing my anticipation for the show's return to HBO. 😍
