I LOVED reading this book. It's wildly entertaining and has a gripping plot and amazing characters.
Plus the storytelling and character development is phenomenal.

I recommend it to everyone and will definitely keep an eye out for the future books by the author.

At the End of the Day Burst Into Flames is hauntingly #beautiful. The prose is so memorable that it stays with you long after you've turned the last page. Descriptions online describe it as #horror and it is so in many ways but most of all, it's about #Love in different forms & the everything that comes with them.

"Love brings me back. And I'm not talking about love in some sentimental way. I'm talking about chemical compositions, like if it were possible to put music in a syringe and then stick it in your arm and feel the ebb and flow of notes pulsing through your veins before music takes an aural shit all over your brain. I'm talking about love-as-opiate."

Reggie Lol, love this. 5y
aniket.barik @Reggie haha. Yeah, it's a very quotable book. I'll be posting another one in a while. 5y
Reggie I grew up in band and choir and used to get so emotional during certain songs and certain chords, this is easy to relate to. Also, sometimes a movie score can make or break a movie for me. 5y
aniket.barik @Reggie I totally get what you mean. I've never been in a band but I have a deep appreciation for music. There have been times when a certain pieces of classical music have moved me to tears. And I too place a huge inportance on movie scores. Interstellar, for instance. The thing sounded so beautiful. 5y

I've read 74 books this year. Somehow I always forget to add them to my Litsy shelf and/or creating posts about them here. :(

Reading goals for 2019:
1. Read more in general.
2. Read more non-fictions.
3. Read more Classics.
3. Review more books.
4. Create more posts on on Litsy.

One of the most entertaining books I've read in a long time. I enjoyed every moment of it. The plot was intriguing, the world was fascinating & the characters were realistic. Ares was a character to whom I could relate on a whole another level. I recommend this book to everyone. Can't wait to read the next books in the series.

Aftermath | Joe Reyes

I got it for free in exchange for an honest review.
I liked the characters, world & the storyline. I disliked the writing. Apart from being written in present tense, it had many typos. Things was rushed to the point where it was difficult to care about events & characters. A lot of telling, not enough showing. Only reason I finished it was because I felt an obligation to finish & review it. Good concept can't save a book if it's written poorly.

I found it interesting and entertaining. It was certainly a quick read. There were some ideas which intrigued me. The twist at the end blew me away and had me laughing. I did not see that coming.

This is also the first thing I read on the #SerialReader. Needless to say that I absolutely love the idea and will be using it to read a lot of stuff from now on. #classic #scifi

Libby1 Hello! Thanks for following my page. Yes, Serial Reader is fantastic. I use it all the time. 6y

It's funny that I relate to this so much. I always read and watch the weirdest stuff. #weird

The concept was quite unique but the execution could be better. The book is very short so there was little scope for the development of story & characters.

This marks the debut of the author and although not perfect, I liked the idea & I believe she can do great in future.

I have to keep it short here because of word limit but if you want to read my full review check out the below link: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2382438201

One of the greatest things I've ever experienced. It's fascinating, mind-bending, complex & twisted. By the time you finish reading it, you'll be looking at everything differently. It makes you question mortality, meaning of life & the reliability of your own memory.
I highly recommend it to everyone except people who like simple books.
I've never read anything like it.

mooingzelda This sounds really intriguing! 6y
aniket.barik @mooingzelda it really is! I highly recommend it. I wanted to explain it in a little more detail but the word limit here was not enough to this remarkable book justice. I wrote a rather lengthy review on Goodreads though, check that out, if you'd like to read more. You could also read this review by SF Books : https://sfbook.com/the-affirmation.htm 6y
